THE MICO E-LEARNING TRAINING ASSESSMENT E-PORTFOLIO
Instructions N.B. The successful completion of this assessment is a requirement for certification of this training.
The assessment is divided into TWO (2) sections Group and Individual Assessment. Trainees are encouraged to complete the specific tasks immediately following the related lesson.
Group Assessment (50 Marks)
Technology integration has become important component of instruction.
1. In not more than THREE (3) paragraphs (300 words) analyze the importance of technology integration within the curriculum. (15 Marks) The analysis should highlight the following:
i. time management
ii. learner needs
iii. collaboration
2. (a) Using the Template provided evaluate TWO (2) web-based resources related to your subject area. (See Page 2)
(b) Explain how you would use at least TWO (2) communication tools to support teaching/learning using any area/section from both web-based resources selected in (a). (15 Marks)
3. Select a topic from your subject area and use the following to develop a lesson:
a. Webquest (Using Zunal or PowerPoint)
b. Digital Story (20 Marks)
Individual Assessment (50 Marks)
a. Design a Concept Map to illustrate your understanding of the relationship between the learning theories and technology integration. Your map MUST include:
i. At least 5 theories
ii. The role of the teacher
iii. The role of the students
b. Using the ASSURE or ADDIE Model develop a lesson Blue Print (Concept Map, Flow Chart, or Storyboard) to demonstrate the integration of technology in your subject area. The Blue Print should demonstrate the integration of the following tools:
i. PowerPoint
ii. Video {editing(any adjustments made) should be demonstrated}
iii. A Podcast
Your lesson plan must present the following:
a. All the essential elements of a lesson plan
b. Seamless integration of PowerPoint, Video and Podcast
c. Student-centered activities
d. Clear evaluation strategies
e. Clear articulation of the Design Model chosen.
