LEARNING OUTCOMES:

At the end of the session, participants will:
1. Describe how students learn
2. Illustrate the relationship between theories of learning and technology integration
3. Apply theoretical models to solving instructional problems

Task One

GROUP WORK

  • Click on the discussion section of this page. Discuss the questions in your group about technology integration, then post your comments to the site.

Task Two

GROUP WORK

  • Click on the discussion section of this page. Discuss the questions in your group about how students learn, then post your comments to the site.

Task Three

Learning Theories
Each group will be assigned one theory to do a power point presentation on. Read through the different theories and come up with the general principles from each. Each group will also:
  • Describe the applicability of the theory to teaching and learning with technology
  • How will knowledge of this theory impact your role and students’ roles in the technology-supported instructional environment?
  • Describe at least 3 activities that you could use in your class that utilizes tenets from this theory.
